"Sasuke kun lets go!" Sakura said carrying Sasuke's bag as Sasuke slowly made
his way out of the hospital. It was finally the day that Sasuke was going home, and Sakura decided to help
him by carrying his things. "Sakura, it's ok I'll hold it." "No Sasuke kun, leave it to me!" Sasuke was silent. Sakura didn't know what to say either. She tried continously
to lighten the conversation, but it seemed as though Sasuke still couldn't get over his defeat by Naruto. "Sasuke kun, are you all right?" Sakura asked looking sadly at the boy. Sasuke seemed not to have heard her. Sakura felt so distant from him the past
few days. She sometimes felt as though he wasn't looking at her when his eyes were on her. She had a feeling he was somewhere
else, in some distant place, lost and unsure of what it is he has to do. When they got to Sasuke's house Sasuke exclaimed, "come in, I'll give you something
to drink." Sakura's face suddenly flushed. She going into Sasuke's house? It was like a dream
come true. She guessed that the problem wasn't as serious as she thought. Sasuke was just as nice to her as he was before,
she didn't have to worry about anything. And like Naruto said, Sasuke wasn't going to go off with Orochimaru, he wouldn't
be persuaded that easily. The moment Sakura stepped into Sasuke's house, though, she froze. Sasuke noticed,
he looked at her strangely and asked her, "Sakura are you ok?" Sakura got out of it and said, "oh nothing, it's just that, I never noticed how
big the Uchiha house was." It was true, the moment she stepped in all she saw was a long dark hallway. The end of it was dark,
she couldn't see where it led to. Sasuke didn't seem to notice this, though, he just took off his shoes and began walking
along the hallway. Sakura followed him, looking at the things that surounded her as she walked. Eery decorations and works
of calligraphy that said things like "Jakunikukyoushoku" (the strong will "eat" the weak "meat") and "REVENGE" hung the walls.
She kept up with Sasuke and tried to hide the sudden fear she felt as she walked through the dark house. After what seemed
like a walk through a long maze they got to Sasuke's room. "Just leave the bags here," Sasuke said. Then stepping out of the room he told
her, "I'll go get refreshments, you just stay here." "Ok," Sakura said seating herself in a random chair. Once he was gone she examined
the room. It was fairly large and neat. But there was something about it that was empty. She seemed to feel that something
was missing among how tidy the books were arranged and how there wasn't one extra object lying around on the floor or the
desk next to his bed. It was while she was thinking this that she realized she'd just let someone that had just gotten out
of the hospital leave the room to get drinks for a healthy person like her. She unconciously ran out of the room to catch
up with Sasuke and help him carry the things back. But after running along the hallway for about a minute she realized that she had
no idea where she was going. She decided that the wisest thing to do would be to return to the room she came from. However,
after following what she thought was the path she took, she realized that she had no idea where she was. It was bizzarre,
that she was lost in someone's house. "Sasuke kun!" she called out, thinking that she had to be close, she was just a little
confused because it was her first time there. But there was no reply, and suddenly she felt scared. She called out Sasuke's
name again, as she walked along the hallway. Angry looking masks that decorated the walls stared at her evily. She quickened
her pace as she called out Sasuke's name. It was at this time that she noticed there was a room where the door was half-open.
She slowly walked in, and noticed that it was a bedroom. It was plain, just as Sasuke's room was, but there was a single extra
object in the empty room that she entered. It was a photograph. Sakura slowly approached it to look into who it was a photo
of, and saw a little Sasuke staring back at her. It was a family photograph, and Sasuke's parents, brother, and Sasuke himself
were smiling happily. Sakura didn't know why, but she suddenly felt an extreme sadness take over as she gazed into Sasuke's
content face. He used to be just as priveledged as I am.... but then it was gone. Sakura slouched down and suddenly realized that tears were flowing down her cheeks.
She sat there silently as she cried tears of sympathy for the one she loved. "Sakura?" Sakura looked up from where she sat. Sasuke was standing at the doorway of his
parents' room panting. He'd obviously been running around looking for her. He suddenly saw her face and exclaimed, "are you
crying? What happened?" "Nothing," Sakura said wiping the tears away from her eyes and getting up. She
made an attempted smile and said, "let's go back to your room." She silently walked back into the dark maze-like hallway and the two of them returned
to Sasuke's room. You found me when I was lost in the darkness.... Will I be able to find you?
