The great village of the fire leaf, to which many know as Konohagakure or for it’s nick name the village of Konoha. There laid a grand amount of the best shinobis the world has ever known. The Hokage of this village was for the first time and for many years to come, a woman; Tsunade. But this story does not occur here in Konoha, it belongs to the hidden village of the clouds. Tsunade calls forth to team 7 who are now around their 20’s. Sasuke still as handsome as ever and has not loosen his sharp eyes, Sakura has grown to be a very beautiful kunoichi and Naruto seemed to look a little more like his Sensei Jiraiya. Tsunade seemed a little annoyed over the fact that Naruto chose to look like her former teammate, but sort of knew it was coming. She sighs lightly and then tells them to step forward. As they do Tsunade opens a scroll. She turns the scroll towards them and tells Sakura to read it. Sakura gently picks up the scroll and begins to read it high enough for Naruto and Sasuke to hear, it read:

The Hidden Village of The Clouds

Attention: Hokage

I am sending this scroll to inform you that I have a request to ask of you. It is of dire importance. The Cloud village is in need of your assistance. I would like for you to please come to discuss the matter in private. I will be awaiting your arrival as soon as possible.

"Humph, I don’t understand, aren’t the ninjas at the cloud village considered to be aggressive in all the Villages?" Sasuke asked

"Yeah, why would they need you to assist them?" Sakura asked while looking at the scroll.

"But further more, why are you even showing this to us?" Sasuke continued saying as he had a point while Naruto nodded in agreement.

Tsunade smiles and looks directly at them as she then comments: "You are correct Sasuke, why would they need our help if they have the most aggressive shinobi in all of the villages? The answer is that even though they may have the most aggressive shinobi they are not as many of them as there used to be…and as for why I am showing you this is primarily because I am going to the hidden village of the cloud to meet with the Raikage" Tsunade pauses momentarily to stand from her chair and walk over to the three young shinobi adults and continues: "And because I plan to take the three of you. I have seen the kind of work you three do all together…the teamwork between the three of you never seem to fail in any rank missions…or each other. So I am confident that this mission will be a successful one"

Team 7 became shock and deep down they also felt very proud to know that the Hokage really counted on them. Sakura blushed slightly knowing that they were finally going to go on a mission after all those years. To be by Sasuke side in a mission meant more time for them to spend together, since the majority of his missions did not include her with him. She was excited but not as excited as Naruto.

"Finally, I can show Sasuke and Sakura my latest technique ero-sennin taught me the past years…heheh, eat your heart out Sasuke!!" Naruto thought to himself.

"We will all leave first thing in the morning" Tsunade said as she returned to her desk.

"Old granny…when you say in the morning, how early is that?" Naruto asked rudely and in hopes that it’s not around 6 am.

Tsunade takes a deep breath as she slightly frowns "5 am in the morning Naruto"

"NANI!!! WHY SO EARLY…WHY NOT AT 7 or 8 IN THE MORNING!?"

"BECAUSE IT WILL TAKE US ATLEAST 5 DAYS TO REACH THE CLOUD VILLAGE YOU IDIOT!!!" Tsunade yelled out loud to Naruto as his hair blew back.

"Idiot" Sasuke whispered loud enough for Naruto to hear.

"Oh Naruto…sigh" Sakura frowned in disbelief on how idiotic he still remained after 5 yrs.

Team 7 walks out of Hokage’s office. They walk down the corridor of the halls. Sasuke places both of his hands in his kimono, Sakura looks to the side and wonders if Sasuke was a bit uncomfortable to hold her hand while Naruto was around and Naruto had his arms behind his head with a grumpy face. Walking but seemed more like he was stomping the floor as they could tell he was upset. Naruto stops in mid-way of the exit to the stairs. Sasuke and Sakura stop to look back at Naruto.

"What’s wrong Naruto?" Sakura asked as she saw the look on Naruto’s face that seemed as though he was worried.

"Old granny depends on us…She believes in us and is confident that our mission will be a success…" Naruto says still with a worried yet narrowed eye expression.

"Yeah, So?" Sasuke said not understanding what Naruto was getting at.

"I’ve been training, Sakura has been taking care of her mothers shop and you have not had a mission for at least a whole month and a half"

"What are you trying to say Naruto?" Sasuke asked impatiently

"I just…I …what if…" Naruto hesitates to speak

Sasuke couldn’t stand this about Naruto. Always trying to make a comment at a wrong time. They needed to prepare themselves for tomorrow and pack the necessary things as well as rest up since they were leaving very early. Sasuke shuts his eyes and frowned as he suddenly snaps at Naruto.

"Stop wasting our time Naruto, we have better things to do than waste it here with your ridiculous theory and simple minded thoughts!"

"Sasuke" Sakura whispered his name as though wanting him to think about what he said

"Er, Sa~su~ke!!!" Naruto clenched his fist and bared his teeth at Sasuke

Sasuke and Naruto glare at each other as sparks of rage are met in their eyes. Sakura tries to calm them both down by getting in between them while holding them back. Calmingly saying to them that it wasn’t time for this, but they paid no attention to her and her inner Sakura had burst out.

"SHUT UP!!! EITHER YOU TOO STOP FIGHTING OR YOUR GONNA HAVE TO DEAL WITH ME!!!" Sakura yelled out at them as eyes were flaring and sharp teeth were shown bearing at them as she held them by their upper garments and had their bodies hovered off the floor.

"Ye~s….Ma~m…." Quivered and swallowed hard both Naruto and Sasuke

"Good!" Sakura said returning to her normal self as she smiles and walks down the steps "Now that that’s settled, we should head home and get ready for tomorrow"

"sigh…yes mam" Naruto and Sasuke said as their bodies slumped down in how easily her personality changed back to her cute self

As soon as they reached the park of Konoha, Naruto rushed home and waves goodbye to Sasuke and Sakura. They in the other hand waited for Naruto to fully disappear from site as they then walk away to a different direction. Sasuke pulls out a pair of keys from within his kimono as soon as they reached a gate. It was a gate that had a path behind the walls to a secret entrance entrance. They walk behind the walls and Sasuke kneels down and lifts a long rug that looked almost like real grass and beneath it was a door with a lock on it. Sasuke then opens the lock with the key. They went down the concrete steps and lit a torch with a fire jutsu. They followed the dark corridor and as they reached the end of it, they saw a medium sized comforter on the floor. Sakura lay’s on top of it and Sasuke places the torch on the hooked wall. Sakura then sits up and looks at Sasuke as he just stood there, hesitant to lay down next to her.

"Sasuke-Kun?"

"Sakura…"

"uh…yes?"

"What do you think Naruto was trying to say today, at the steps of the Hokage’s office?" Sasuke asked as he looked back at Sakura with a serious expression

"I…I don’t know" Sakura lowers her eyes and holds her hands "But to be honest, I think he’s afraid that since we haven’t been in so many missions, we may have somehow slacked off…not in a bad way, but I guess he thinks or wonders if this will turn out to be our last mission together"

Sasuke walks and kneels down to Sakura’s level as he looks into her eyes and asked

"Do you think, no, do you believe this will be our last mission?"

Sakura looks into Sasuke’s eyes in return and can tell that her Sasuke was somehow feeling a little doubtful himself. She can see the expression he has and places both of her hands on his warm cheeks and smiles.

"If it is…then at least we know that we won’t be alone and know that our love has lasted till the end" Sakura smiles a sweet smile to Sasuke as he can feel the woman he loves reaching out to him more than when they were kids

Sasuke smiles back at Sakura and places his right hand over her face and kisses her passionately as they slowly fall back on the comforter and that night was more meaningful than the last. Even if they didn’t come back alive to Konoha or he never got to bring back the Uchiha clan, they both knew that they were going to live forever in their hearts.
